Spot Rupiah Closed Weaker at Rp 16,210 Per US Dollar Today Apr 26th
The Indonesian rupiahs exchange rate has once again been under pressure until the end of todays trading. On Friday (26/4), the spot rupiah closed at a level of Rp 16,210 per US dollar. This has resulted in the rupiah weakening by 0.14% compared to the previous days closing at Rp 16,188 per US dollar. The movement of the rupiah is in line with the majority of currencies in Asia.

As of 3:00 PM local time, the Japanese yen was the currency with the deepest depreciation in Asia, having plummeted 0.24%. This was followed by the Chinese yuan, which slipped 0.08%. Next, the South Korean won, which had already closed, was down 0.06%, and the Singapore dollar corrected by 0.04%. Then there was the Indian rupee, which fell 0.01%.

Meanwhile, the Hong Kong dollar appeared to weaken slightly by 0.008% against the greenback. On the other hand, the Thai baht was the currency with the largest appreciation in Asia, having strengthened by 0.24%. Subsequently, the Philippine peso closed up 0.19% and the Malaysian ringgit climbed 0.05%. This was followed by the Taiwanese dollar, which closed with a slight increase of 0.01%
